Connellsville’s Yough River Park is pictured at night with a light covering of snow in early December of 2002. The winter of 2002-2003 proved to be a vigorous one with consistently cold temperatures, several moderate snowfalls, and one major snowstorm that paralyzed the area with more than 20 inches while over 40 fell in the nearby mountains.
