The Beam Rocks outcropping in Forbes State Forest is an oppressive castle of limestone offering an excellent view of Somerset County to the east. Within the rock itself are channels and tunnels offering a maze of wonder with rhododendron, moss, and hemlocks about. Beam Rocks is located within the Linn Run and Laurel Mountain State Parks complex.
